Indonesian movie freaks miss top blockbuster!

Yes, we gonna miss Harry Potter magic. We miss Hollywood magic. We miss 2011 top blockbusters such as Transformers 3, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows | Part 2 (due to open on Wednesday nationwide in the country of 240m people)... Breaking Dawn.

A standoff begun four months ago and has been compounded by a government ban on Indonesia's largest film distributors bringing in new Hollywood movies pending payment of more than $30m in unpaid taxes and related penalties.

Indonesian moviegoers have had to watch local productions and B-movies since February, when a new government system for royalties and value added tax was announced. Box office turnover is now down 60 to 70 per cent.
