Shingeki no Kyuojin (SnK), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. Snk is set in a world where human live inside cities surrounded by towering walls. They were forced to retreat behind those enormous walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans (-giants) that roamed the land outside their fortress. Titans seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source.



In over 100 years the city has not seen a giant. But after a century of peaceful life, teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

Snk was nominated for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards (2011) and won the Kodansha Manga Award shōnen category (2011). In English the series is roughly translated to 'Attack on Titan'.


And this season, the anime is aired every Saturday starting from April 6th 2013.
