Back on track with music review yo.


And today, we're about to talk about a pop electronic band from London, UK: Kero Kero Bonito, often called KKB. The band consists of Sarah Midori Perry as singer, Gus Lobban and Jamie Bulled as producers.

First, let's listen to one of their track. Actually this one is the first track that I've heard from my friend's playlist.

Digg it? KKB's music is very influenced by J-Pop culture and music. It's actually not hard to tell since Sarah Midori often raps in Japanese and English. Their song are usually written using a Casio SA-45 mini-keyboard. They put so much fun into their music which sounds a lot like game boys music. Actually KKB reminds me a lot of a band from New York, Anmaguchi.

Jason Mraz - The Woman I Love

"The Woman I Love" is a song by American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz. It was released as the third official single from his fourth studio album, Love Is a Four Letter Word (2012), on February 4, 2013. "The Woman I Love" is a pop rock ballad, with country pop influences and talks about reminding a woman of how special she is, expressing unconditional love, commitment and faithfulness.

The video is the result of an unprecedented online contest where Twitter users were invited to answer the question, "What does 'The Woman I Love' mean to you?." More than 10,000 responses followed, tweeted, in 140 characters or less. The best of those submissions were then used to inspire the storyboarding and overall video concept. Users whose ideas are featured in "The Woman I Love" are credited by Twitter handle.

But anyway, did you know that The Woman I Love is a 1937 American film about a romantic triangle involving two World War I fighter pilots and the wife of one of them. Haha.

LA LIGHTS Java Soulnation Festival 2012 Day 2

Buat kalian yang ngga sempet datang di hari kedua Java Soulnation Festival (JSF) 2012 Sabtu 29 September kemarin, tenang aja, karena disini gue bakal merekapitulasi acara keren yang diselenggarakan oleh LA LIGHTS.

Sore yang panas, namun Aldisyah Marandry Latuihamallo, sebut saja Aldisyah, sudah menemani kami semua di Wonderful Indonesia Stage dengan lantunan musik bernuansa pop dengan sedikit sentuhan jazz dan R&B. Baru-baru ini, Aldisyah telah merilis solo album perdananya "Kacamata" dibawah bendera Green Music Foundation. Sebelumnya, dia juga udah berpartisipasi dalam album kompilasi Jazz Goes to Campus’ 2007.

Di waktu yang sama, band rock-funk asal Jakarta, Stereocase meriahkan panggung Indosat. Band yang terdiri oleh empat lelaki, yaitu Fadli Rezasyah (Vocals), Rifqi ‘iQif’ Fuad (Drums), Richard V. Emanuel (Guitar), Doni Garna (Bass) sudah beberapa kali tampil di panggung acara-acara bergengsi seperti Java Jazz Festival dan Java Rockin’Land. Tahun ini, di panggung Java Soulnation, Stereocase berkolaborasi dengan beberapa artis, salah satunya, Bayu Risa!

All Time Low release new song ~ For Baltimore

For their upcoming 5th album Don't Panic, All Time Low have release a new single For Baltimore.




The track is the band's second offering from their upcoming fifth studio album, Don't Panic, following the song they released in May, The Reckless and the Brave. Front man Alex Gaskarth experiments with a voice filter during the song's solemn opening, which later blasts into a full-on rock anthem about holding onto the good times.

Don't Panic marks All Time Low's return to their indie home label, Hopeless Records. Hear that guys? They's back with Hopeless Records! They were signed to Interscope Records in 2010 and released Dirty Work the following year, but decided to part ways with the major label in May. Not showing any signs of slowing down since then, Don't Panic will be released on October 9.


The band are also headed out on the "Rockshow At The End Of The World" Tour with the Summer Set, the Downtown Fiction and Hit The Lights (with select appearances from the Early November). We don't know yet when the band will come to Indonesia. Unfortunately.

Keys N Krates was formed in 2008 out of a desire to do something different. They wanted to take the remix/electronic sound out of the studio and onto the stage, creating a new live electronica experience. The Toronto-based trio – comprised of the high-energy Adam Tune on drums, synth-master David Matisse on keys, and internationally award-winning Jr. Flo on turntables – began by locking themselves in a rehearsal room for six months to create and finesse their unique sound and identity.




The result? A blend of hip hop, electronica, and jam that truly shows off the artistry of the live remix. Keys N Krates collage raw samples and twist them with live instrumentation, creating a unique party sound. With two live off-the-floor mixtapes under their belt, the outfit is set to release their first EP, The Blackout. The multi-genre EP blends clever sample collaging, epic synths, big bass, and funky drum grooves into a sonically unified collection of songs.

They have toured with and played alongside artists including Pretty Lights, Lotus, Skrillex, Girl Talk, Kid Cudi, Metric, Timbaland, Zed’s Dead and more. In 2011, the band broke out on the festival scene, playing Camp Bisco, Electric Forest, North Coast, Moe’s Summer Camp, Re-Generation and Blues Fest. After producing distinctive remixes of songs by artists such as MGMT, Jay Z, Michael Jackson, Drake, and Florence + The Machine, Keys N Krates were commissioned to create official remixes for Lotus, Lyrics Born, and OK GO.
